By creating an account, purchasing a shipping label, or otherwise accessing the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement, and accept these Terms in full.
2. Acceptable Use
MailNero is intended solely for lawful shipping purposes by individuals and businesses in compliance with all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws and regulations. You agree to use the Service only for legitimate, lawful shipments.

- Circumvent carrier security measures or postal inspection systems;
- Harm, harass, or stalk any individual through the use of our shipping services;
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt any part of the MailNero platform or infrastructure.
3. Prohibited Items & Shipments
You may not use MailNero to purchase labels for shipments containing any items prohibited by the carriers we work with (including USPS, UPS, FedEx, and others) or by applicable law. Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:
- Illegal drugs, narcotics, or controlled substances
- Firearms, ammunition, or explosive devices (without required permits)
- Hazardous materials not declared or packaged per DOT/IATA standards
- Stolen goods or property obtained through fraud
- Counterfeit currency, documents, or goods
- Human remains, organs, or biological specimens (without authorization)
- Live animals (without carrier authorization and compliance)
- Obscene or child-exploitative material
- Items subject to trade sanctions or export controls
- Perishable food items (without proper packaging and disclosure)

This list is not exhaustive. Users are responsible for reviewing and complying with current carrier restrictions, which may change over time. Links to carrier prohibited items policies are available at USPS Publication 52, UPS Prohibited Items, and FedEx Prohibited Items.
4. User Responsibilities
As a user of MailNero, you are responsible for:
- Accurate information: Providing truthful, accurate, and complete sender and recipient address information for every shipment;
- Package contents: Ensuring that all packages you ship comply with applicable laws and carrier rules regarding contents, weight, and dimensions;
- Account security: Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access;
- Payment obligations: Ensuring that all payments made through MailNero are authorized and made with funds you legally own or control;
- Regulatory compliance: Complying with all local, state, federal, and international regulations applicable to your shipments, including import/export laws, customs requirements, and carrier-specific policies.
5. Compliance with Carrier Rules
MailNero provides access to shipping labels through third-party carrier networks including, but not limited to, USPS, UPS, and FedEx. By using our Service, you agree to comply fully with the terms, conditions, and policies of each carrier whose services you use.
Carrier policies govern, among other things: acceptable package contents, size and weight limits, hazardous materials handling, address requirements, and insurance limitations. It is your responsibility to review and stay current with each carrier's published policies.
MailNero reserves the right to suspend or restrict access to certain carriers or services if we reasonably believe a user is in violation of carrier policies. Carrier surcharges, adjustments, or penalties applied to your shipments after label purchase remain your responsibility and may be charged to your account balance.
6. Shipping Restrictions
MailNero operates in compliance with U.S. postal and shipping regulations. The following restrictions apply to all shipments processed through our platform:
- Geographic restrictions: Labels may only be generated for origin/destination combinations permitted by the selected carrier. Certain international destinations may be unavailable due to sanctions or carrier restrictions;
- Weight and dimension limits: Packages must comply with carrier maximum weight and size limits. Exceeding declared dimensions may result in carrier surcharges;
- Address accuracy: Users are responsible for validating delivery addresses. MailNero is not liable for packages lost or delayed due to inaccurate address information;
- No commercial mail fraud: Using postal services to commit fraud is a federal crime under 18 U.S.C. § 1341. Any such misuse will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to law enforcement.
7. Payments & Disputes
MailNero accepts payment exclusively in Monero (XMR). By making a payment, you represent that you are the lawful owner of the funds being used and that the transaction does not involve proceeds from unlawful activity.
Due to the nature of cryptocurrency transactions, all payments are final once confirmed on the Monero blockchain. Users are encouraged to verify all shipment details carefully before completing payment.
MailNero reserves the right to forfeit account balances and payments associated with fraudulent activity, chargebacks, unauthorized transactions, or violations of these Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
8. Refunds
Shipping labels that have not been scanned or used by a carrier may be eligible for a refund, subject to the refund policies of the applicable carrier (typically within 28–30 days of label creation). Refund eligibility is determined by the carrier, not by MailNero.
MailNero will process eligible refunds as wallet balance credits. Refunds to original Monero payment addresses are not available due to the irreversible nature of XMR transactions.
No refunds will be issued for labels that have been tendered to a carrier, scanned, or otherwise used. MailNero's service fees are non-refundable.
Refunds will not be issued for accounts found in violation of these Terms, or where the refund request is associated with suspected fraudulent activity.
9. Account Suspension & Termination
MailNero reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate any account at our sole discretion, with or without prior notice, for any of the following reasons:
- Violation of any provision of these Terms;
- Suspected or confirmed fraudulent activity;
- Use of stolen, unauthorized, or fraudulently obtained payment credentials;
- Shipment of prohibited items or use of labels for unlawful purposes;
- Involvement in reshipping scams or package fraud schemes;
- Any activity that exposes MailNero, its users, or its carrier partners to legal, financial, or reputational risk;
- Non-compliance with carrier policies resulting in carrier-imposed account actions.
Upon termination for cause, any remaining account balance may be forfeited to the extent permitted by applicable law. MailNero will provide notice of termination where practicable, but is not obligated to do so in cases involving fraud, legal process, or urgent safety concerns.
Users who believe their account was suspended or terminated in error may contact support@mailnero.com to request review.
10. Law Enforcement Cooperation
MailNero is committed to operating lawfully and responsibly. Where required by applicable law, court order, or valid legal process, MailNero may cooperate with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, including but not limited to the United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and other regulatory bodies.
Such cooperation may include, where legally required or permitted, providing account information, transaction records, shipment data, and IP address logs in response to lawful subpoenas, warrants, or court orders.
Nothing in these Terms limits our ability or obligation to disclose information as required by law or to protect the safety of our users, employees, or the general public.
11. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, branding, logos, and materials on the MailNero platform are the exclusive property of MailNero or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any MailNero content without our express written consent.
Carrier names, logos, and trademarks (USPS, UPS, FedEx, and others) are the property of their respective owners. MailNero's use of these names is for identification purposes only and does not imply endorsement or affiliation.
12. Limitation of Liability
MailNero provides its platform on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MailNero disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
MailNero is not responsible for:
- Lost, delayed, damaged, or misdelivered packages (carrier liability applies);
- Actions or omissions of third-party carriers;
- Inaccurate rates or surcharges applied by carriers after label generation;
- Service interruptions, downtime, or data loss due to technical issues;
- Any damages arising from your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
In no event shall MailNero's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service exceed the total amount you paid to MailNero in the 90 days preceding the event giving rise to such claim. MailNero shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages.
13. Privacy Policy
Your use of MailNero is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information.
By using the Service, you consent to the collection and processing of your information as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
For questions about our data practices, please contact us at privacy@mailnero.com.
14. Changes to These Terms
MailNero reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users via email or in-platform notification.
Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must discontinue use of the Service.
15. Contact Information
If you have questions, concerns, or requests related to these Terms of Service, please contact us:
Disclaimer: Users are solely responsible for complying with all applicable local, state, federal, and carrier regulations governing their shipments. MailNero provides a platform for label purchasing only and does not provide legal or compliance advice. When in doubt, consult a qualified legal professional or contact the applicable carrier directly.
16. Custodial Wallet Disclosures
MailNero operates a custodial cryptocurrency wallet system. The following disclosures describe the nature of your platform balance and the risks associated with cryptocurrency-based payments.
Nature of the Custodial System
MailNero uses a custodial wallet system for managing platform balances and processing shipping label payments. When you deposit Monero (XMR) to your assigned deposit address, those funds are received and held by MailNero's central platform wallet.
Your displayed balance is an internally managed platform account credit — not a direct on-chain wallet. You do not hold, control, or have direct access to any private keys associated with your platform balance.
No Private Key Control
By depositing funds to your assigned subaddress, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You do not control private keys. The Monero private keys for all platform deposit addresses are controlled solely by MailNero. You have no direct access to these keys.
- Your balance is a platform liability. The amount shown in your account dashboard represents MailNero's obligation to credit you for shipping services — not a direct on-chain balance.
- Deposits are irreversible. Once Monero is sent to your deposit address and confirmed on-chain, it cannot be reversed or recalled. Verify all addresses carefully before sending.
Deposit Confirmations
Incoming Monero deposits are credited to your platform balance only after reaching the required number of on-chain block confirmations (typically 10 blocks, approximately 20 minutes). During this confirmation period, funds will appear as "pending" in your dashboard and are not yet spendable.
MailNero is not responsible for delays caused by blockchain network congestion, low transaction fees, or technical issues with the Monero network.
Transaction Irreversibility
Monero transactions are cryptographically irreversible once broadcast to the network. MailNero cannot reverse, recall, or intercept any Monero transaction after it has been submitted to the blockchain, regardless of the circumstances. Label purchases deducted from your balance are final once confirmed.
Fraud Prevention & Transaction Monitoring
MailNero monitors account activity for fraud prevention, carrier compliance, and regulatory purposes. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Automated detection of unusual deposit velocity or patterns;
- Review of purchase activity for compliance with carrier acceptable use policies;
- Flagging of accounts associated with suspected fraudulent or abusive behavior;
- Cooperation with law enforcement as described in Section 10 of these Terms.
Transaction monitoring is performed to protect the platform, its users, and carrier partners. MailNero reserves the right to freeze account balances pending investigation of suspected fraudulent activity.
Withdrawals
Platform balances are intended for use toward shipping label purchases. Withdrawals of unused balances to external Monero addresses are available by contacting support@mailnero.com. Withdrawals are subject to:
- Identity verification at MailNero's discretion;
- Review for compliance with anti-money-laundering (AML) considerations;
- A reasonable processing period (typically 3–7 business days);
- Minimum withdrawal amounts as determined by MailNero;
- Forfeiture if the account is suspended for Terms violations.
Platform Risk Acknowledgment
By using the MailNero custodial wallet system, you acknowledge the following risks:
- Cryptocurrency values are volatile and may fluctuate significantly;
- Platform outages, technical failures, or security incidents could temporarily affect access to your balance;
- In the event of MailNero's insolvency or cessation of operations, recovery of custodial balances may be limited or unavailable;
- MailNero is not a licensed money services business (MSB) or financial institution, and platform balances are not insured by any government agency.
MailNero recommends maintaining only the balance necessary for planned label purchases. Do not use the platform as a long-term store of value.
